7/9/94 Great Woods, Mansfield, MA (Rvwd 2/95) Well, a decent show in
general, but one of the most plebeian Tweezers
for sure. A very straightforward opening segment, even though Mike
was very present in the mix and grooved (he stands out).
The theme the jam segment takes off on is definitely kind, with Trey
wailing and the groove maintaining a Tweezeresque style.
Frankly, though, this doesn't really go anywhere.. the jam just sorta
plods along. Not a very special jam at all. The ending is not
typical.. the jam just slowly putters out, but not in the usual psychotic
dying out of the theme manner. This is an interesting
version, but frankly not especially well jammed. This has got to be
the most plain version I've heard to date. It's the "Take It or
Leave It" Tweezer. 11 and a half mins or so. 4.0 rating. (C-) Lifeboy
follows. The TweezeRep is ok. EXCELLENT SOAM at
this show, though..
