Thanks, Matt, for the tapes.  This show has an absolutely incredible
Stash in the first set (with a Dave's Energy Guide *JAM* for a little
bit, and a weird KUNG!).  Definitely one of my favorites (11/14/95,
5/19/94, 12/29/95, etc.).  This Stash is the earliest "experimental"
Stash (see also 8/15/93, 11/14/95) that I'm aware of.  Very cool
jamming!  (the entire second set of this show kicks butt.. even MSO!)
This is probably my favorite April 1993 set, frankly.. thank you sooo
much, Mr. Dallman!  I can't believe I've gone this long without having
heard this show (well, the Stash is the only thing in the first set
worth talking about, imo; but the second set is great!!).

Tweezer opens up right at MSO's end.  It is just slightly upbeat, and
very powerful.  Excellent opening, frankly.  Everyone is obviously
pumped up.  The pre-Ebeneezer jam segment contains unusually
above-average activity from everyone, but no melodious theme jams or
anything especially noteworthy.  Screaming on Ebeneezer (like the Olde
versions generally)..

Jam segment begins at about 4:14.  Trey sustains a lot at first,
before, at about 4:38, very low on the 'doc, he starts climbing ever
so sllllowly on a very dark progression.  He repeats this 6 note theme
over and over for a little while.  Serious crescendo developing.. then
by 5:40 or so Trey breaks out soloing a bit.

The soloing around 6 minutes (the lead from Trey) is very spooky and
typically Tweezeresque.. within ten seconds, though, Trey starts
spilling out this completely dizzying and sinister groove.  He's
basically playing two-notes back-and-forth and back-and-forth very
quickly (Mark, help).  I don't know what this style of playing is
called (he trills a little around 7:28 or so).  Whatever this sort of
guitar jamming is called, it is incredibly spell-binding!!  Very cool
leads from Trey in this whole section.  The accompaniment from the
others is very powerful..

Around 8:15, the jam gets stuck in this evil void, of sorts, before,
within about ten seconds, leaping out of it majestically with
frightening soloing from Trey.  This is such a typically dark and
spooky jam -- what Tweezer most often is/was -- but it is also
sufficiently melodious at times to really demand one's attention.

Trey is still, around 10:10 or so, letting out these enormously erie
licks.. that he milks for a little while before chaotically noodling
around.

THE NOTE at 11:02, and the dying out of the Tweezer theme segment
begins.. nothing special in the ending jam.  Total time around 12
minutes or so.  6.5 rating. (above-avg)
