I would have been at this show, were it not, again,
for my cluelessness. First Delaware gig. Bowie set
one opener. YEM had a LION SLEEPS TONIGHT vocal jam
(I highly recommend this, btw), and Lengthwise was a
sing a-long with the crowd whilst Fish sang it on
vacuum.. funny as hell. The Tweezer was actually
magnificently plain. Not only is the beginning
utterly straightforward, but the jam is Absolutely
Tweezer: very strong, harsh, dark, without any
screwing around -- but bordering on controlled
dissonance at times. It still sounds really cool,
and is very well done, but it is just not exceptional
in any way, shape, or form. I just can't even bring
myself to give it an average rating. It is great, but
no surprise there. 4.5 (the Tweezer Reprise is
similarly ordinary)
